MY LITTLE WHITE HOUSE

“The Little White House is a 170 square foot little studio that I built out of salvaged materials and dumpster finds. I didn’t have the idea to build a small house or build a white house even. It’s just that I wanted a place to have a fire in the winter… So, originally, it started as a 10ft by 10ft thing and gradually it got bigger, and the ceilings got taller, and it became what it is… I think what draws people to the white house is that it’s a lot of things that were gathered from dumpsters or things that people discarded because they didn’t want it any longer. I think in a way, the Little White House gives all those things a new life… At least that’s what drew me to build it. It was the idea of taking these things that were considered trash and kind of repurposing into something beautiful and interesting.”
